ATBC - Membership Information

 

Mission

The Australia Thailand Business Council is dedicated to assisting Australian enterprises build better business links with Thailand, AND aims to provide a national focus in encouragement and support of Australian enterprises in their pursuit of opportunities for bi-lateral trade and investment with Thailand.

ATBC will do this by :

bullet seeking to influence relevant policy makers in Australia and Thailand,
bullet sharing promotion and support for Australian business enterprises through creation of opportunities for linkages and networking, and
bullet promoting friendship, goodwill and understanding between the business communities of Australia and Thailand.

·a forum for promotion of members' views and advice regarding business policy in areas such as government policies,

· regular communications with members through its newsletter and memoranda to members.

2. Public Events

bullet

·annual Business Council Joint Meeting, which is held alternately in Thailand and Australia,

bullet

·conferences, seminars and regional group meetings, in Melbourne,

bullet

·functions for visiting Thai dignitaries and business leaders.

3. External Affiliations

·departments and counterpart organisations within the Australian and Thai Governments,

bullet

·close linkages and liaison with other councils and chambers,

bullet

·linkages with academic institutions.

 

Membership

Membership is open to organisations and individuals having an interest in trade and investment with Thailand and/or in the development of business relationships with enterprises based in Thailand.

Membership is available in categories based on the number of employees and Individual membership.

Membership fees (2005/6) are as follows (before GST):

National Corporate Membership for the Principal Representative, plus two or more Chapter based representatives    $1,235 pa
Corporate/Larger Enterprise Membership An enterprise with more than 25 employees and/or a turnover of $10 million pa    $875 pa
Individual Membership/smaller organisation Individual membership, or 'Smaller Enterprise' with less then 25 employees and/or turnover of $10 million pa    $300 pa
Additional Representative Each additional representative (same or different Chapter as Principal Representable)    $150 pa
